Gabrielle Lush is a multimedia artist creating surrealist dreamscapes that explore beyond the physical world. Working at the intersection of geometry and organic form, she constructs fantastical portals influenced by visionary and psychedelic influences.
Lush earned her BFA in Painting from SUNY New Paltz in 2014 and has exhibited nationally in New York, Arizona, California, and Oregon. In addition to gallery exhibitions, she has performed as a live painter at numerous festivals and is currently expanding her practice into immersive installation work. Her paintings function as thresholds -spaces where emotional and spiritual experiences take visual form. Through layered perspective, intricate pattern, and symbolic composition, she explores dreamscapes where the nuance of everyday life take on spiritual meaning.. the act of falling in love, realizations of adulthood, and the idea of enlightenment. Each piece is both an inner excavation and an offering: a reminder that reality is far more malleable - and far more mystical - than it appears. |
