Gabrielle Lush is originally from Long Island, New York. She is a freelance artist with a distinct style who currently resides in Portland, Oregon. She graduated from SUNY New Paltz in Fall of 2014 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in Painting and a minor in Psychology. Incorporating organic forms and sacred geometry, Gabrielle creates visionary spaces that skew the viewers perception of reality. Her art is meant to encourage the awakening of the soul beyond the physical world. She melds elements from visionary, surrealist, and psychedelic influences.
My work is meant to portray a wider version of awareness that extends beyond the physical world into a more spiritual realm. My paintings act as conduits between the veils of existence, luring my audience into fantastical dreamscapes where certain nuances of everyday life take on spiritual meaning.. the act of falling in love, realizations of adulthood, and the idea of enlightenment. Using perspective and pattern, I conjure limitless portals of potential and possibility, that encourage the soul to awaken. They are inner explorations of consciousness, awareness, and spiritual transcendence. Our perception of the world is limited but easily influenced and can be manifested into whatever it is we seek.
